COVID: No fresh case in Jammu; 12 reported in Kashmir | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 19 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 12 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 194 while no more death was reported in the UT in the last 24 hours and the death toll stands at 4,784. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that all 12 cases are from Kashmir division. He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 305,026 including 302,448 recoveries and 2,433 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,921 including 171,481 recoveries and 2,351 deaths. He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 194 including 105 from Kashmir division and 89 from Jammu division. With 29 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 473,969 which is 98.97 percent of the total cases. “Among the fresh 12 cases today, 08 are from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 00 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 00 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while no fresh case was reported from Jammu division,” said the official. As per the daily information bulletin 6,793,955 persons in J&K are under observation while 544 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 194 persons are in isolation. According to the bulletin, 6,787,845 persons have completed the surveillance period and 588 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,601,453 samples are available. “Out of 26,601,453 the number of samples tested negative stands at 26,112,506 while 478,947 have tested positive, among them 194 cases are active, 473,969 have recovered and 4,784 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
